«Of course, from the very first days we realized firsthand what "culture shock" means: a different city structure, different people, an unusual climate for us… But after half a month, we have settled in a little and we know that not all stereotypes about Marseille can be trusted. As for KEDGE, each of us is delighted in our own way. Since orientation week, the university has surprised us with everything: its architecture, friendly people, atmosphere and spirit. We have already had the first classes (which last 3.15 hours) and the most pleasing thing is that every lecturer is looking for a response from students, even if they cannot find the right words to say. This is just the beginning, we still have 1.5 years of training and six months of internship ahead of us, so Marseille and KEDGE will continue to surprise us with their coastal atmosphere».

«Going to KEDGE for a double degree programne was the best decision. During the year of study, we managed to communicate with people from different countries, improve our English level, gain invaluable international experience, as well as study the culture of France and the French language. Studying at KEDGE is based on practical tasks, during the semester we solve interesting business cases, publicly defend projects, all this helps us develop the necessary skills and gain knowledge that will be useful for our future professional activities. Students are all very friendly and open to communication, during the semester you need to do a lot of group work, constantly interact with each other. A year ago, a new campus building was completed, very modern and comfortable: spacious classrooms with mountain views, many coworking spaces, some of which are equipped with computers, buffets and so on. I am also glad that, despite the demanding lecturers and many projects, studying does not take up 100% of your time. This means that you always have the opportunity to explore the city, discover new places, meet new people and do what you love».
Alina Urazbaeva (2020):«It was easy to make the decision to continue studying at KEDGE – this was one of the reasons why I chose International Economics and Business programme at UrFU. Obtaining two diplomas in itself is a huge plus, as is the mandatory internship in a foreign company. All foreign classmates are very friendly and open to communication. It is impossible not to mention, of course, the senior guys from UrFU. Even in the process of preparing for the trip, they answered all my endless questions, and upon arrival they literally "took me by the hand." Personally, I love French. I like the sound of this language, and knowing English makes it much easier to learn – the common roots of languages make themselves felt. You can start learning it here from scratch, so not knowing French is not a problem, because education at the university is conducted in English».
Students note the professors responsiveness and their personal approach to each student. At Business school, communication processes go through online platforms, classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards, a cozy «Hub» combines coworking, library and relaxation area. Anna Bondyreva (2019) told about the features of the educational process:
«Kedge Business School is a top-notch place to obtain high-quality knowledge of business and entrepreneurship. The thing I love the most is that all courses are entirely practical. The strongest emphasis is put on the individual work of students: we need to prepare and defend a project work for every course. All professors have excellent command of their subjects and possess broad working experience. They are always ready to share their knowledge and experience, help and answer any questions. I have no doubts that the experience of studying at Kedge and skills I obtain here will help me to achieve success in the future».
During 2 years of study in France, students get the opportunity to trainee a professional internship in an international company. Ksenia Salnikova (2019) is already preparing for it:
«At KEDGE Business School, there are many extracurricular classes. Personally, I signed up for a coaching Skype course about the job search with KEDGE representatives, where I got the opportunity to ask a lot of questions. I was told on which sites you can find work abroad, how to write CV and Сover letter correctly. There is also a Career center, which can also help with job search or internship».
The international programme is also an opportunity to make friends and future business partners from different countries, travel, and also gain valuable cultural experience.
