The purpose of the program: training highly qualified managers who are able to adequately and timely respond to the complex challenges of economic development, provide environmental expertise and consulting, manage projects and risks in the field of natural resources, ensure the functioning of the business at the level of international environmental standards.
High demand for program graduates by state and municipal government bodies, regional environmental infrastructure units, domestic and foreign industrial enterprises, including oil, gas and nuclear industry, energy corporations, innovative companies in the chemical-pharmaceutical cluster, etc., is due to the integration into natural resources global markets; the interdisciplinary nature of natural resource and environmental problems and the need for their systematic solution; the uniqueness of the pool of managerial, economic, environmental and technological competencies formed among graduates.

The program is implemented jointly with the Perm National Research Polytechnic University. The network form of organization of the educational process provides for the widespread use of on-line technologies, the holding of interuniversity seminars and master classes by Russian and European experts in the field of process safety, the formation of a modern environmental infrastructure of innovative enterprises and territories.
The international vector of the program is network interaction on its problems with leading world universities: Polytechnic universities of Turin, Ancona; University of Trento (Italy); University of Calgary (Canada); University of Stavanger (Norway); Petronas University (Malaysia); Wessex Institute of Technology (UK) and others. Undergraduates have the opportunity to participate in various projects in Russia and abroad, which creates unique opportunities for professional growth.
