The technology of high-temperature non-metallic and silicate materials is a field of science and technology in which you work with the most advanced and knowledge-intensive materials:
- ceramics (electrical; electronic; ceramic sensors; armored ceramics; ceramics for current sources; wall and household; structural; acid-resistant, ceramics for oil and gas production; medical)
- refractories (high-temperature structural and thermal insulation materials; abrasive materials; materials for work in aggressive environments)
- glasses and enamels (general and special purpose; for photonics and electronics; glass lubricants and glass sealants; optical glass; glass for current sources; thermal insulation materials)
- binding materials (special and general purpose cements, complex binders, materials based on them).
You develop new materials and know how to adapt production to new conditions.
You know how to plan research and development work and design production.
You know how to select raw materials and examine the properties of materials and products.
Your developments are used in:
- metallurgy and mechanical engineering
- electronics and photonics
- electrical engineering
- defense industry
- chemistry and petrochemistry
- construction industry
- medicine.
