Promising block-layered materials with proton and triple proton-oxygen-electron conductivity: from chemical design to electrochemical devices

The objective of the work is a scientifically based search for new materials – highly efficient proton-conducting electrolytes, as well as cathode materials compatible with them for medium-temperature electrochemical devices. Establishing the fundamental relationship between the composition and structure of complex oxide systems with their transport characteristics and chemical stability in order to create prerequisites for the successful development of hydrogen and electrochemical energy.

Development of sensors based on new oxygen-ion conductors for environmentally friendly electrochemical industries

Studies of the transport properties and corrosion resistance of materials based on pyrochlore Gd2Zr2O7 have been carried out. An electrochemical sensor has been manufactured to monitor the oxygen content in reactors with oxide-chloride melts. The oxygen sensor in the LiCl-H2O melt reacts to changes in the concentration of Li2O oxide, the dependence of the EMF sensor on the Li2O content is linear and reproducible.
