The master's program "Energy Efficient Technologies of Electric and Thermal Energy Production" is aimed at training highly professional personnel in the field of heat power and thermal engineering, who have in-depth fundamental professional and scientific training, who possess the skills of analytical, research and experimental work, who are able to develop and design unique and standard thermal power equipment, its adjustment and operation, to carry out the design of the equipment, to perform its operation. Particular attention is paid to the research and development of scientific bases of modern power technologies on the basis of combined cycle and gasification of solid fuel, fuel elements, development and implementation of new and non-standard equipment, optimization of thermal schemes of TPP.
The master's student is prepared to carry out professional activities at enterprises and organizations of the energy sector: thermal and nuclear power plants, energy enterprises of various profiles, engineering organizations, generating and sales companies, academic and applied research and design institutes. The educational process of master's degree training is focused on the continuation of postgraduate studies.
In accordance with the qualification "Master" a graduate will be able to carry out professional activity in the field of technical means, ways and methods of human activity for production and effective use of all kinds of energy and heat, management of their flows and transformation of various kinds of energy.
The objects of professional activity of graduates are: thermal and nuclear power plants, power supply systems of enterprises, small power facilities; installations, systems and complexes of high-temperature and low-temperature heat technology; steam and hot-water boilers of various purposes; reactors and steam generators of nuclear power plants; steam and gas turbines; power units, steam and gas turbines; installations for production of compressed and liquefied gases; compressors, refrigerators; installations of boiler systems.
