Annualy students of the International Management program take part in the summer school "Doing business in Russia" - the hallmark of business education in the Urals. For two weeks, students immerse themselves in the international environment and meet with leaders of Russian business - companies from various industries from production to IT products for business to heavy engineering.

VIII International Summer School of Master students "Doing Business in Russia and worldwide: innovative solutions for challenging times" (2021)
30 participants from 8 countries for 10 days in a hybrid format studied innovative solutions for the creatine industries, dictated by the challenges of the new time. And although the whole world is soon waiting for the largest sports event, the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo, the whole team of the VIII Summer School on July 16, 2021 had the feeling of closing a big event and ending a fairy tale!
This year's Summer School program was lucky; it took shape by itself, because throughout this academic year the team of the International Management program had projects with companies from the creative industries of the Ural region. And within the framework of the April youth conference Spring Days of Science of INEU, we made friends with the tourist cluster "Belaya Mountain", who acted as the general partner of the School. But it was also important that our old friends continued to cooperate with us, invited lecturers from two partner Business Schools (University Skoda Auto, Check Republic, and IMM Ranchi Business School, India), our long-time partner of the KPMG program, for the second time with us Senior Banker EBRD, a graduate of the Faculty of Economics of the Ural State University Tatyana Emboulaeva, our good friend, co-founder of the UMN music festival Lyubov Bondarenko speaks, an established team of tutors Yuri Devi, Maxim Fokeev, Nikita Shvalev, Stanislav Berezin is working with the guys.

"I was a participant in Summer School for two years and during this time I can’t say that the program was repeating. Every year School changes: the geography of participants is expanding from Germany and Pakistan, to the Gambia and Brazil. During two weeks of Summer school you are fully introduced into English environment, meeting with leaders – companies from different industries from manufacturing to IT-products for business. Lecturers from all over the world and companies visitors make this two weeks absolutely incredibly, warmly and inspiring.
Program also undergoes changes every year - in addition to hard-skills related to knowledge of the Russian specifics of doing business and managerial practices, events aimed at developing Soft-skills deserve special attention. The curriculum takes the form of project seminars, discussion platforms, and the total event involves the protection of the business plan of a potential own company in Russia. All this allows you to expand the skill of cross-cultural communication, group interaction and the organization of your time (time-management) in a saturated basic educational program."

IX International Summer School of Master students "Doing Business in Russia and worldwide: diving into creative economy" (2022)
The IX International Summer School for Undergraduates Doing Business in Russia took place from July 6 to 15, 2022 and continued the theme of the creative economy, which began three years ago! The general partner of the School this year was the creative cluster DOMNA, which recently opened its doors to the first residents and visitors in the very center of the Ural capital, on Weiner 16. This is the first multi-format creative cluster in Yekaterinburg. The project work of the School participants focused on developing a strategy for the development of directions and organizing the cluster space to maintain high synergistic potential. Master classes from cluster residents were combined with presentations by leading specialists of the Polis Institute and founders of the RURBAN LAB project Tatyana Zhuravleva and Ilya Tokarev.
The Saturday day of the summer school was dedicated to a trip to the seasonal creative cluster "Summer at the Factory" on the territory of the old Ural Turchaninov-Solomirsky Plant, located in Sysert. "Summer at the Plant" was supported by the Presidential Grants Fund in 2020-2022. In addition to a fascinating excursion and session with the cluster team, the participants of the Summer School remember the day by walking in the fresh air, the comfortable territory of the plant, Bessonova Mountain, delicious food, bright sun and bathing!
Also today, the participants of the summer school had a unique opportunity to visit the headquarters of the Russian Copper Company. Unique design and engineering ideas were implemented in this large-scale project and presented to a group of students, as well as in the Q&A session, the possibilities of modern business communications and plans for the development of creative areas in traditional RMK industries were discussed

"From the first day of summer school “Doing business in Russia and worldwide: diving into creative economy” we were fully immersed in the unique space of recently opened new creative cluster “Domna”, which is supposed to accommodate creative entrepreneurs from fashion, media, IT. We went deep into the understanding of what creative clusters are and how they work. The representatives of “Domna” conducted two master classes for us. At the first one, we have studied the key trends in designing logos and working in teams created the logos for Domna divisions. At the second one, we found out some basic techniques of working with light during photoshoots. We were impressed with the results! The thing I liked the most is the networking within international teams. I think cross-cultural communication process is the key in building the global creative economy!"

X International Summer School of Master students "Doing Business in Russia and worldwide: diving into creative indusctires" (2023)
Among the speakers of the X International Summer School Doing Business in Russia, Vasant Balan, a member of the КВН РУДН team, owner of the YouTube channel "BALL Production" ("МЯЧ Продакшн") producer, director of the acting agency "tvari.agency" became the headliner. At the opening of the Summer School, organized by the International Management Master's Program, Vasant shared with students his experience of doing business in the creative industries and beyond. It was a story on how the economy of the YouTube channel works and how to attract a million audience, after he gradually turned into a lively exchange of questions with the audience about what new technologies can do now and how to save talented people and work as a team, making cool projects that are interesting to the audience. Immersion into the creative industries continued for the participants of the X International Summer School for Undergraduates "Doing Business in Russia" with strategic session by TargemGame Creative Director Alexei Chernykh. Alexey told the participants about the history and prospects for the development of the ivdeogry industry in the world and in Russia, about new professions, as well as about the business model of the largest Ural video game developer for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox X/S consoles, iOS and Android mobile platforms, as well as Nintendo Switch and Oculus Quest 2 TargemGam.
The final day of the summer school was reserved for the protection of team projects, on which the guys worked with their tutors throughout the entire practice period. Team members showed great scope in the selection of ideas for their projects. The panel of judges appreciated each of the speeches, presenting their comments, comments and questions, and the defense closed with the solemn awarding of the children with certificates. And it's time to celebrate! Delicious pies, discussions and rave feedback from students about the great experience received at the IX International Summer School 2022!
